Should I Use A Fix-A-Flat Product?

Encountered a Flat Tire in San Antonio? You may consider using Fix-A-Flat a emergency tire sealant. If you have tires that are under warranty, you may want to consider using a tire sealant once more.
Fix-A-Flat when used on tires under warranty, places like Firestone or Discount Tire, will void the warranty.
Michelin Warranty
- The addition of liquid, solid or gaseous materials other than air, nitrogen or carbon dioxide (for example, waterbase sealers or balancing substances);
BF Goodrich Warranty
- The addition of liquid, solid or gaseous materials other than air, nitrogen or carbon dioxide (for example, waterbase sealers or balancing substances)
Firestone / Bridgestone Warranty
5. Tires with sealant, balance, or other filler material that was not orignally applied or inserted by the tire manufacturer
This information is to make a decision if you may void your warranty. If you can use a spare in place of a can of fix a flat, I would highly advise it or you could needlessly be out of money for a new tire.
My own experience with fix a flat is it is worthless. It does not hold, and it is a huge mess. I tried using the goop in a flat tire I had a awhile back, and I ended up using a spare tire anyway a few minutes later. If your in a situation where using the tire sealant is your only option, then you have to do what you have to do. Just remember, the goop may not hold.
